Broke (Verne)- Round 11- House 14

Welcome back to Verne Broke's house.

This is the original Caliente household, which Verne remodelled.

 Verne is the alien son of Remington- former maid and husband of Brandi Broke. Verne had a twin called Jules who sadly perished in a fire.

Verne met Lucy at Uni and they have been happily married for some time.

Verne had inheritance from Lilith and Lucy from both Dustin & Beau.

 Verne has been perma-plat for some time so I only fulfil wishes for Lucy who has yet to achieve her LTW of becoming a Mad Scientist. She is currently a Scholar.

 Verne amuses himself by cleaning.

and chatting with friends.

Lucy always wants to blog about Science.

Sharing a bathroom often leads to lectures in the morning when showers are had and taps are ran for the bath. Heh.

Verne often rolls a wish for a baby, then it rolls away, and I'm not fulfilling his wishes. They enjoy a nice date downtown.

Ah, Lucy stuck to her pc while Verne bring her flowers. :)

Lots of infectious diseases going around at work for Lucy it seems. Still she got a nice promotion.

Family Sim Verne was able to make a lovely pan of soup though.

All better.

Even though Science is Lucy's hobby she wished for and won a cooking competition against the Head Chef, Dream1E Dreamer the servo and Drama Teacher Prof whatsisname. 

Verne had gone into the Paranormal career last round and was slowly working his way to the top.

On Thursday Lucy made it! Hello permanent platinum. 

Later that night on her first shift as a Mad Scientist...

Hmm, Green or Orange?

Lucy picked Green.

Yay. Sometimes I don't read all these little cards and had quite forgotten the theme of this one. Made me laugh. :D

As they are both permanently platinum I decided to send Verne & Lucy off for a vacation- they both constantly wished for either the Far East or the Mountains and so I flipped a coin...

and the Far East won. 

Both wished to learn to teleport and Lucy was lucky straight away. She scared a few people (Verne more than anyone) when she used her new teleport skill for the first time.

Oh Verne... *sigh*.

Well ok then, here goes nothing... or everything.  :D

You may have noticed I gave Lucy a slightly more grown up version of plaits. I think it suits her nicely.

Verne got a massage at the spa on the resort they stayed at.

Lucy had to cover her head when her wish from a fountain gave her a nice bit of coin.

                 

Third time lucky for Verne! Last day of the holiday too!

Lucy was feeling tired and sick (uhoh) so Verne learnt the ancient Dragon Legend on his own.

Then checked them both out and they headed back to Pleasantview.

The vacation bonuses kicked in and Verne got his big promotion. He only has to work 2 days a week now.

He also got a bronze badge in the little garden he started after Lucy had wished to start a garden a while back.

Yep, Lucy will have  a new challenge next round!

Verne can't wait to be a dad, the mushy old family Sim.

Summary:-

I enjoyed this week at Verne's, he was easy as already perma plat and Lucy got lucky with her job. Smaller houses equal less distractions and her wishes were pretty much the same every day, blog science, stargaze, cook food, eat food, talk about hobby.

I figured they might get boring now I'm not fulfilling wishes and I really want Remington- rest his soul- to have at least one descendant in the 'hood. Now he will next time.

Gregory- Round 11- House 13

Welcome to the second Gregory Household. Both Plant sims are sons of Alvin Gregory, adopted son of ex-maid Lucy Hanby.

We start off pretty much where we left off with Plant Sim brothers Thorn and Frond (a Plant sim-Vampire) at war. 

If you remember last time they both were in love with Goopy (Gilscarbo) Pleasant and neither were tactful about it ending up in above enemy status scenario.

Also living here are Jan (Tellerman) who married Thorn last round but is already smitten with his half-brother Graham who just moved back after (finally) finishing college.

Romance loving Jan wishes for woohoo, a lot. In the tub, bed, wardrobe... you name it. :D

Frond, bless him (heh) is fried every day when he finishes work. His vampireyness does not do well in the sunlight.

Of course I am following wishes and Jan's was to make friends with Graham.

and Graham's was to flirt with Jan. Oh dear. :D

As cosy as it seems nothing actually happened, Graham just happened to get into the only bed in the house, with his friend. 

Having a gold badge in sewing meant Jan could style herself a new outfit. Perfect for Spring.

Her Captain Hero husband Thorn flew off to work.

and brother in law Frond arrived home in his usual happy, smoky state.

It was quicker for him to turn into a bat and fly upstairs into safety.

Just as Thorn arrived upstairs from his afternoon swim he caught Graham going in for a kiss with Jan.

'You Strumpet! I'm so mad right now all I can do is slap you!'

'I want a divorce and I want you to leave, right now!'

Thorn actually followed her to make sure she left the lot.

She did. :(

The other brothers decided to walk to work early the next day. :D

Poor Thorn didn't know what to do with himself so he made a call....

and threw a party. 

He spent most of the night stargazing while his brothers entertained the guests but still got a rocking party score.

Frond got engaged to Andrea Hogan last round, but this is the only time he saw her and never once rolled a wish to make further contact.

Plant Sims, they are a fickle bunch.

Graham apologises to Thorn for his part in the break up of his marriage to Jan.

'I don't know what came over me, it was like some kind of Wishful Thinking got me'. ;)

The brothers toiled in the garden all night, even when a freak hailstorm hit.

I think Thorn was hoping the hailstorm would kill his brother (not me- whistling innocently), but it didn't. 

It didn't put him in a great mood.

He recovered enough to go for a shift to his Gaming career though.

Then it was back to the garden where the summer pests were becoming a nuisance.

So Graham became a plant sim like his brothers.

They had a fun bonding evening. The feud between Thorn and Frond seems forgotten.

Maybe it's because Jan comes around every day to steal their paper or kick over their trash.

 Pleasure loving Graham doesn't really want to stay a Plant Sim of course, he loves to dance, go out, karaoke and all that fun stuff.

and of course throw parties...

 he tactfully invited Jan and even though Thorn was mad he did at least chat with her and lost enemy status.

She still nicked his newspaper.

 Yes it was Graham's wish... 

 and so it was granted.

He got a great boost of points for getting 30 best friends. His secondary aspiration being Popularity.

Frond is still wearing silly costumes to work, he loves to scare his driver of a morning though. Bleh!

Thorn is calling a gathering at his house...

 Here comes the family and other guests.

 'Well Christian I thought you might like to talk to this lady, I mean you're old and she's old...'

I think Thorn needs to stop playing cupid to Christian Love. His name suggests maybe he can find his own partner in life doesn't it?

Summary:-

Well the game really played itself this round with Graham and Jan wanting to flirt endlessly. Last round Thorn impulsively married Jan after a date and I didn't particularly want them together so it played out nicely.

She's in her own place now and ready to join the end of the round as a playable.

I know last round I was going to let Frond have a plant baby, but I forgot what with 

everything going on and he never wished for it, so maybe next round. 

Maybe next round he'll also wish to see his fiancée, poor Andrea. 

He's coping well with his Plant Sim Vampirism. He has to run to the carpool and fly upstairs quickly when he gets home but he only needs 2 showers a day and he can pretty much stay outside all night, just having to cook under a lamp for a short time.
