Lothario- Round 12- House 1

Welcome to Round 12 beginning here at the Lothario house! 

Kaylynn (Langerak) Lothario, former maid and married to Don Lothario up until he died of old age. 

She is a Family Sim with a wish to Marry off 6 kids. She does have 6 kids, having had 2 sets of twins and 2 separate births. 4 of those children are married and Kaylynn has enough time on the clock to achieve her LTW.

Youngest daughter Celeste who just graduated. She is a Knowledge Sim with a LTW to become a World Class Ballet Dancer.

Eduardo Caliente is the love interest of Celeste, also newly graduated he is the son of Monica Bratford and Vito Caliente (son of Dina and Magnus Caliente).

It seemed fitting given the history between the families (I'm talking to you Don & Dina!) that their descendants get together at some point.

Some rule changes for this round;-

Like the challenge founder ASimWen I shall be fulfilling 3 wishes and 1 fear per sim, per day trying not to exceed 1,000 aspiration points in a day.

If a Sim is perma plat I shall just fulfill the fears where possible and an odd wish if I like it, :D

Exceptions will be woohoo and dates, but date wishes will not count towards wish fulfilment- they are just for fun as is woohoo, heh. However if a Sim wishes for a date, that will count as it's 750 aspiration points.

In college Sims can now choose their own path, I often find that the day after a Sim enrols they roll a wish for a certain major and that will be fulfilled, if it doesn't appear I shall roll a dice rather than choosing the major based on job prospect/LTW.

I shall also change the aspiration of half the Sims during sophomore year in college just to shake things up. If I remember, :D

On a note of Lifetime Wishes if it's career related I shall ignore it until almost Elder if a sim hasn't reached permanent platinum via 'Lifetime platinum'.

I also plan to pursue a Sims 'true' hobby more and to use more Sim townies/npc's to bring into the families. (While I still have the 'no sim regenerate mod' in my college and home neighbourhood I may remove it for a short time to regenerate new sims at some point in the round).

….and that's it for new rules... some of my old ones, such as retiring at 70, and if becoming a member of the Secret Society they have to also become Big Sim on Campus, still remain.

 Kaylynn has had a Gold badge in Gardening for some time as she cared for her family providing fresh produce for their meals. However her one true hobby is Tinkering and so I sold her car and bought a fixer upper for her to work on. She almost immediately got a subscription to 'What a Jalopy'.

 While Celeste is already permanently platinum (Lifetime platinum) Eduardo is not- a Knowledge lover like Celeste he seeks to be a Media Magnate, which doesn't tie in with his Fitness love at all, although I suppose paparazzi do run a lot. He also has a Gold badge in Robotics and made lots of products during his college years to fill his fellow dormmates backpacks' with.

Celeste is a nature lover by heart, although she has a Gold badge in Toymaking that she earned in college.

Eduardo seizes the moment to propose to Celeste. 

She said yes. They headed straight to St Simius of Pleasantview, made a few phone calls and invited lots of people over.

 While the lovely couple await everyone to be seated young Sarah Love is wishing it was her getting married.

Funnily enough I changed the décor in the church to shades of red and the majority of Sims turn up in similar hues. :D

Now for the really annoying part. I'd booked a honeymoon just after their engagement and then forgot that as soon as they wed in a community lot, the taxi appears! So they spun into their regular clothes and shot off with their suitcases before they could even toast... well themselves. :D

They arrived at The Sky Vista Hotel in Three Lakes.

 They met the locals, Celeste started to fish and earned her Bronze badge.

 

While they both wished to meet Bigfoot the wish they had never got fulfilled. Whether this is because we have a resident (not playable) Bigfoot already in Pleasantview I know not.

There were chimes when they woohoo~ed in the sauna.

 Celeste definitely felt some aches and pains during the last days of their honeymoon.

All too soon it was time to check out and head home.

Strangely they did not arrive in a taxi, but alongside Kaylynn walking back onto the lot (presumably the taxi dropped them back at 'the Church'). :D

Kaylynn had a little thing with Officer Ramin last round and he's still trying to win her heart, much to her daughter Celete's disgust who showed the wish to 'poke' Ramin. 

Late on Monday (yep, still the first day- heh) Celeste found a job in Medicine and Eduardo in Architecture as she doesn't need to earn a LTW being perma- plat and he isn't going to for his job- yet.

Calling his Sister Maria or brother Mario earns him a quick 100 aspiration points.

Kaylynn works tirelessly on the engine of her car until that black smoky stuff stops. 

 

After a very busy day the newlyweds decide to sleep in the next morning.

 Kaylynn makes a lovely baked Alaska as a breakfast surprise...

oh no!

 I finally managed to get Celeste out of bed to extinguish the flames.

But she was too late...

She pleaded with the reaper to  bring her Mother back...

 'oooh, right, no left... no right....'

 WRONG- YOU LOSE!

 Poor Kaylynn, she never did get to achieve her wish to see her 6 kids get married.

nor did she get a fancy headstone. But she is now next to her beloved Don forever.

After a few hours of mourning Celeste went work and soon got promoted to the top of career.

It was quite a promotion 'gift'!

 Eduardo got a promotion also. He's almost at the top.

he's here at the top, of the house. He hates to sing solo karaoke.

Celeste gets a new spin of wishes fulfilling her 'plant a seed' wish. Her fears are increasingly hard to do as they are things like, 'non related cat gets sprayed by a skunk', see Eduardo die and lose a skill.

 Reaching the top of a career was good for Eduardo that day. He switched fields to the Military after that.

He invited his college buddy Guy over after work who brought friends with him.

Having earned his Fitness badge way back as a teenager he decided to finish off Kaylynn's car.

He also wishes to stargaze a lot.

He placed 2 of his bots, water and cleaning on the lot to help with upkeep.

Eduardo gets another promotion. 

Celeste goes into labour!

A quick fear realised when it was time to change a diaper.

Baby girl Lynn is now sleeping. :)

Eduardo drank himself a strawberry lemonade point for a quick aspiration boost.

From Astronaut to General. That's 2 top of careers in the bag. :)

Celeste's sister Kaydon came over and couldn't wait to meet her new niece.

 a quick fear *solo karaoke* followed by a quick wish- talking to Maria.

Birthday time! 

 This cutie got her Mother's colouring but her Father's eyes. Also her personality is identical to Eduardo, except she has one more point of 'active' making her an Aries whilst he is a Gemini.

Both fulfill a wish when Lynn learns to walk.

 Aha, an abduction on Saturday night!

ooh, and a 'surprise' on Sunday morning!

Celeste is very happy anyway. 

Lynn loves to play with Bonkers the cat.

Celeste decided to put her degree to good use and get a job in a specialist field.

 Celeste brings home a promotion to Dinosaur Cloner and colleague Hans Goth.

 she has lots of words for the alien baby.

 Family come over later that day for a good catch up and a dance after dinner.

In the evening and for the first time this week the ghosts of Kaylynn & Don came out...through the split wall you can see the burned-by-fire red ghost of Kaylynn whilst Don's white old-age ghost heads up the stairs.

So ends this fun week back at the Lothario house. 

What surprises are in store next round? 

Summary-

First of all is it actually quite difficult to get achieveable 'fears' on daily basis and I didn't always manage it.

Thinking now about Knowledge Sims losing a skill, I could have used the aspiration reward to siphon a skill. I did try on the vacation trips but they just gained things or got chased by bees!

It was so sad about Kaylynn and very unexpected. I don't think I've lost to the Reaper so that was a first. It did take me ages to get Celeste out of bed even when I cancelled the action so that probably didn't help.

Getting promoted to Top of Career is too short a time given the boost from a college degree and level began via the computer so a new rule is to look for a job in the newspaper only so it feels more like actual work. :D
