The Burb Family- Round 12- House 8

 

Welcome back to the Burb family! They wished for a vacation and here they are at Takemizu Village. From the back left, Lucy, Carter, Bradley, Belinda, Donny and in front is Lowry.

Lucy is the daughter of John & Jennifer Burb (just a child when the game begins) and Carter is the unborn son in Brandi Broke's tummy when the game begins. :)

Bradley and Lowry are Lucy & Carter's children, Donny is Lucy's son from a fling with Don Lothario before she wed Carter and Belinda is Lucy's Grandchild, daughter of Bradley and his (deceased) vampire wife Regina.

This is their holiday home called Green Thicket Manor. There was still a coffin in the lounge which was from the last time they came here and Regina was alive and well but being a vampire and pregnant did not make for the most fun time. :D

I did a quick refurb and inventoried the coffin- just in case. 

Like her Aunt Lowry and Uncle Donny, Belinda can now use the quick way to transport herself, by teleportation.

While teen Belinda works on her yoga the rest of the family enjoy a spot of meditation in their zen garden.

They enjoyed family suppers and outings.

Bradley tried many times to learn to teleport but could not impress the Ninja on any of those occasions.

Back home and Donny aged well! I think I'll keep his colourful outfit.

Bradley aged into a very old looking man! I think it suits him though I'll change his outfit. :)

Pleasure loving Carter and Popularity loving Lucy enjoying all things fun and gaming.

"uh honey, look behind you"...

Carter was first on this fine Monday evening to shed his mortal coils. He was 82. Bye 'baby' Carter. :)

Carter loved Games, Nature, Arts & Crafts and Dance and had a Gold badge in Sales, Gardening and Fishing. In his lifetime he inherited money from 14 other Sims.

"Your turn Missy"... 

"No, wait! Please, I'm too young, I have so much left to live for!"

"sigh, ok, left or right?"

"Yes! thank you thank you!"

"Dead? of course I'm not dead! Idle gossip!"

Lucy spent all morning on the phone calling her friends. :D

Half brothers Donny & Bradley get on really well although couldn't be any more different...

Donny loves the ladies, Marisa here became his 10th love on Tuesday morning.

While the ever-so-serious Bradley enjoyed fishing at the pond. :)

Pleasure loving Lowry picked her best friend Brandon Lillard to go on a date to buy new clothes.

and for his opinion when she tried them on, *wink*.

Donny meanwhile had a string of new ladies to woo.

Every lady that passed by he ran out to meet.

Tuesday came and Grimmie went away- again. :D

    "you ok dear?".... "um, yes, think that trout Uncle Bradley served up was dodgy though!"

It's not hard for Rock God Donny to impress the ladies... 

Lucy paid a visit on Wednesday to Master of Chi, her 5th and final business. She has a manager Leo Wilkie (in the brown suit) so she can just check in with him most days but likes to pay a visit, incase it's her last. 

Wednesday, and Grimmie again loses to Lucky Lucy! 

She takes pleasure from the simple things in life now...

and still enjoys a jam session with her son. I still love his spotlight when he's in the zone.

Bradley sold another novel, his autobiography entitled 'As boring as me'.... :D

He couldn't even be bothered to go inside when Marylena dropped it off so sat himself on the porch swing to read it as his ghostly Grandpa John floated by.

eek!

young Belinda inherited her dad and Grandad's love of nature, soon securing her Gold Badge.

Must've missed Lowry's first baby bump, but here's the second! 

Donny invited Blade Terrano over. Blade is the son of Dustin Broke and so I guess he's technically Donny's step-cousin, if there is such a thing. :D

Thursday and another 'beat the reaper' memory! "whoop! you go Lucy!".

Friday starts with Lucy greeting her good friend Pao the postie and Donny chats up his new found lover.

Belinda brings home a friend from school. She is a Popularity Sim who loves to meet people.

Lowry had a wish to learn to sew and made some bits and pieces while working on her badges before work.

As Donny returns from work he spots the ghost of his former sister-in-law. Can you see her?

Here she is. :D

Lowry is juggling pregnancy and work amazingly well and soon reached the Top of her Career.

On Friday and what would technically have been her 87th birthday Lucy begs the Reaper yet again,

"nope, I've done you enough favours, now take your bag and enjoy your afterlife."

You can see Bradley & Belinda are so used to Lucy beating the Reaper they have barely noticed her passing.

Lucy earned 5 top businesses, she was in the zone in Film & Literature, Games & Fitness. She had a gold badge in Sales and Silver in Restocking & Fishing. In her lifetime she inherited money from 19 Sims. So long Lucy. :)

Teen Belinda was working on her skills for college but also wished to win a dance competition.

Her Grandad Carter gave her a scare and totally wasted one eggplant juice in the process!

On Saturday night young Brandi came into the world. Lowry thought her dad Carter, rest his soul, would enjoy seeing another Brandi in the hood albeit if only seeing her in his ghostly form.

Lowry later invited Brandon over.

"umm, what the heck? mine? how? when? are you sure?"  well he ran out of there faster than you can say Who's the Daddy. :D

Lowry earned her Silver badge in Sewing.

On Sunday Brandi had her birthday and was soon learning new skills.

Belinda too proved she could make more than just pancakes.

"now you're ready for college" said Bradley as he wished her good luck.

The painful decision was made to sell Lucy's beloved Master of Chi as no one else in the family has any business wishes. But maybe one day when Belinda (as heiress to all this) is back from college we will see it again down the generations!

SUMMARY.

 What a fun round. At first I was shocked when Lucy got on her knees to plead with the reaper all by herself. I think she must have wished for a longer life from the Genie in the past. The game froze her age at 83 on the Monday but technically I guess she was 87.

I hadn't intended for Lowry to get pregnant but of course accidently hit 'try for baby' instead of woohoo on the clothing booth and well, the rest is history. :D

Glitch- This has happened twice now in my game in two different houses.

 A sim, here Lyka Dreamer, is bringing a date flower for Donny (I checked his memories and they dated as teens). I hope it's not an ominous sign of corruption. :)
